What is WinShape Camps?
Created by the founder of Chick-fil-A, WinShape Camps creates next-level summer camp experiences for kids to have fun while learning more about Jesus. We offer Overnight Camps and family camps in north Georgia, day camps across the country, and even do camp in Costa Rica and Brazil!

Who can work at WinShape Camps?
WinShape Camps hires over 750 college-aged Summer Staff to serve over 25,000 Campers during the summer. Most of our positions are for people who’ve been out of high school for one year. The staff who thrive at WinShape are typically servant-hearted, adaptable, teachable, energetic, and excited to invest in others.
Do I need previous camp experience to work at WinShape?
Not at all! Many of our staff members have never worked at a camp before. We're looking less for camp experience and more for people who are teachable, servant-hearted, hard-working, and excited to make a difference in the lives of Campers!
What does a typical week look like for Summer Staff?
No two days are exactly the same, but you'll spend your week building relationships with campers, leading activities, serving alongside your team, participating in worship and spiritual growth opportunities, and creating unforgettable camp experiences. How much do Summer Staff get paid, and what expenses are covered?
WinShape is one of the highest paying Christian summer camps in the country with positions starting at $340/week, plus the perks are top notch. We cover your travel, lodging, and all your meals for the summer
Do I have to work the entire summer?
Most positions serve a full summer, beginning the week before Memorial Day and wrapping up in late July or the first week of August. We also offer limited opportunities for those who can only serve part of the summer. We encourage you to explore our Half Summer options and discuss your availability during the interview process.
What training and support do staff receive before Campers arrive?
Before camp begins, all staff participate in extensive training designed to help them succeed in their role. Training covers topics such as camper care, safety, Gospel presentation, teamwork, and role-specific responsibilities. Throughout the summer, staff continue to receive coaching and support from experienced leaders!
What skills will I gain from working at WinShape Camps?
Working at camp helps develop valuable skills that apply far beyond the summer. Staff gain experience in leadership, communication, teamwork, problem-solving, adaptability, time-management and working with people of all ages. These are skills that can benefit you in future careers, ministry opportunities, and everyday life!
What are the different positions that I can apply for?

How many different camp locations are there?
We have five different overnight camp locations in Georgia and our day camp teams travel to over 70 locations across the United States! Check out WinShapeCamps.org/day-camps to view a complete list of camp locations!
Can I apply for WinShape Camps International if I have not worked a summer with WinShape before?
Due to the nature of our international camp experience, only applicants with prior camp experience (of any kind) are eligible to apply for our WinShape Camps International programs.
How do I apply for one of the nurse positions at camp?
We have a separate application for our nurses (who we refer to as our Healthcare Team). View the "Healthcare Positions" specific page under "Staff Positions".
How many campers would I oversee?
We maintain a low camper-to-staff ratio at all of our camp locations. Our overnight camps have the lowest ratio (sometimes 5:1), while our day camps have local volunteers who join our teams while we serve a higher number of campers per staff (15:1).
How much physical endurance is required?
Camp can be physically demanding and most positions require a high level of activity throughout the day. Are you able to work outside in the heat on hot summer days, walk up to five miles a day and lift/carry up to 25-45 pounds of equipment?

What happens after I submit my application?
At the end of your application, you should have signed up for an interview. Our interviewers will review your information before you meet with them. After your interview, it may take a few weeks to hear back about if we have a position for you.
What should I expect during my interview?
Interviews last about 45 minutes where we’ll learn more about your faith journey, experience, and your reasons for wanting to work camp. We’ll also give you space to ask questions.
How should I prepare for my interview?
Take some time to reflect on your experiences working with others, your relationship with Christ, and why you're interested in serving at camp. You don't need to prepare rehearsed answers. We simply want to get to know you and hear your story.
What should I wear to my interview?
We recommend wearing something comfortable and presentable. Business casual is a great option, but there's no need to dress formally. Most importantly, come prepared to be yourself.
When will I hear back after my interview?
Response times can vary depending on the season and hiring timeline. Following your interview, our team will communicate next steps and keep you updated throughout the process.
Why does WinShape ask questions about faith during the interview?
As a Christian organization, our faith influences everything we do. We're not looking for perfect answers or a perfect testimony. Rather, we want to understand your spiritual journey, hear about your relationship with Christ, and learn how you hope to grow through serving at camp.
